The re-elected Chief Executive of Macao is vowing to provide more development opportunities for the region.
Chui Sai On has made the comment after his re-election for his fourth term as chief executive of Macao.
As the sole candidate, Chui took 380 of the 396 votes of the Election Committee members.
"Under the support from the central government and with our regional economy as a means, we will back local small and medium-sized enterprises to improve their competitiveness and enhance talent training. We will try to create more opportunities for Macao in a moderately diversified economy."
Chui's election still has to be approved by the central government in Beijing.
