CRI听力:Fresh Fighting Shakes Ukraine Ceasefire
Fresh fighting broke out in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk as the ceasefire between Ukrainian government troops and rebels entered a second day.
Large explosions were heard near the airport in Donetsk on Sunday, the main rebel-held city in the east.
Shelling also resumed near the port city of Mariupol, where Ukrainian troops retain defensive lines against the rebels.
One civilian was killed and a serviceman was wounded.
Volodymyr Polyovyi, a spokesman for Ukraine's National Security Council says government troops were attacked by the rebels.
"The Ukrainian army has stopped actions and is keeping the ceasefire. Over the past day we have had attacks on our checkpoints from terrorists. Especially, our troops were attacked near Mariupol. In general, the situation in Mariupol is calm and controlled."
The rebels, meanwhile, accuse Ukraine forces of violating the ceasefire by firing on separatist positions in six locations.
The presidents of Ukraine and Russia both have said that the truce is largely holding.
The truce was signed on Friday after talks between Ukraine's government, rebels, Russia, and the OSCE in an effort to end the bloodshed.
