CRI听力:Minnesota Vikings Suspends Star Peterson
The Minnesota Vikings have placed star running back Adrian Peterson on the NFL exempt list, suspending him from all team activities until his child-abuse case is resolved.
The Vikings, who welcomed back Peterson two days ago, had a change of heart after considering their position in the domestic violence scandal.
Mark Wilf is the owner of the Vikings.
"We appreciate our fans, men and women alike, our sponsors and the community and we hear their input but in the end, we as ownership, we as a franchise and we had to make sure that our reputation and the team was moving in the right direction and we felt in the end that this was the right decision. So we made a mistake and we are doing the right thing."
Peterson faces court in Texas for reckless or negligent injury to a child.
Bruises and wounds were reportedly found on his four-year-old son.
Peterson was set to return for this Sunday's match.
