CRI听力:Cruise Ship Docks with Ebola-Watched Health Worker
A cruise ship carrying a Dallas health care worker who is being monitored for Ebola has returned to port after a seven-day trip.
The lab supervisor handled a specimen from the Liberian man who died from Ebola at a Dallas hospital earlier this month.
Vicky Rey with Carnival Cruise Lines says the supervisor has tested negative for Ebola.
Despite this, she says they are cleaning the ship thoroughly.
"The blood tests that were taken yesterday came back negative for Ebola, so today she enters day 20 since she's been in contact in the laboratory, so there's nothing special that we need to do. Additionally though, beyond that we are doing aggressive sanitation processes on the ship just more or less to give guests a peace of mind."
Meanwhile in Europe, Belgium is due to begin screening passengers arriving from Ebola-stricken countries later today.
Passengers arriving from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone will have their temperatures taken in an attempt to try to ensure the virus doesn't get into Belgium.
