China's favorite Ding Junhui reached the last 32 after winning China's 2012 National Junior Championship Zhang Yong 4-2 on Wednesday at the Haining China Leather City Asian Tour event.
The veteran said he gave it his all in the second set.
"So I have to play hard as well. I feel a bit of pressure during the match. After all, it's a match, not training".
Ding Junhui is likely to have three matches all together today.
He will take on Barry Pinches from England later today.
