2014-10-24来源:CRI

The Russian driver of a snow plough involved in the plane crash which killed the CEO of French oil giant Total has been formally arrested.

Russian investigators allege Vladimir Martynenko was drunk when his plough slammed into the private jet carrying Christophe de Margerie.

Martynenko's lawyer has denied the allegations against his client.

Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin says a number of others have also been arrested.

"Within the framework of the criminal case on the crash of the Falcon plane at the Vnukovo airport, the head investigative department of the Investigative Committee detained leading airfield service engineer of the Vnukovo airport Vladimir Ledenev, head of flights Roman Dunayev, dispatcher Alexander Kruglov and dispatcher trainee Svetlana Krivsun."

de Margerie and the crew of his private jet were killed when the snow plough slammed into their airplane while it was trying to take off from the airport in Moscow earlier this week
