Angolan police have released most of the Chinese expatriates detained Friday during a clampdown upon illegal work and residency in the country.
But over 30 Chinese are still under detention for the lack of proper identification documents.
The Chinese embassy is urging local authorities to provide proper treatment for the detained Chinese.
Angola police rounded up some 1,000 foreigners in the capital city on Friday.
The Chinese Embassy has made solemn representations over the action, while the Chinese chamber of commerce lodged a protest for alleged police brutalities during the action.
