The 8th China-US high-level political party leaders dialogue has been held in Beijing.

Leaders have exchanged views on rule of law, anti-corruption campaigns, and international challenges.

Bob Holden, Chairman of the MidWest US-China Association and former governor of the state of Missouri said that it is important for both sides to communicate.

"I don't know anybody, any organization that has this caliber for exchanges. The foundation of the two systems relies on the people politically involved. So these are the people that we need talking to and listening to. Your political leader of your culture and our political leader of our culture can see each other as partners in what they want to achieve. So we have much greater chance of having economic success as well as social stability. "

Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui says that under the background of a changing global situation and the upcoming US presidential election, the meeting will enhance mutual understanding, and play a constructive role in building bilateral relations.

At a sideline meeting, entrepreneurs from both sides also held in-depth discussions on deepening trade and economic cooperation.
