CRI听力:Germany's Beat Cote d'Ivoire 10-0
Two-time winners Germany crushed Women's World Cup newcomers C?te d'Ivoire 10-0 in their Group B opener in Ottawa on Sunday.
Both Anja Mittag and Celia Sasic scored hat tricks to ensure their team with the win.
German coach Silvia Neid was pleased with the start her team made.
"We had judged them to be a better team than they were today. We were very concentrated, very focused going into this game and after three minutes we scored the first goal but we did not let up. We had a lot of opportunities until in the 14th minute we scored the second goal and then I think we just took the wind out of their sails."
The victory makes Germany the first women team in World Cup history to score more than 100 goals.
Germany won women's world cup in 2007, but eliminated by Japan in a semi-finals game in 2011.
They will next face off Norway, who cruised past Thailand 4-0.
