CRI听力:"Now You See Me" to Continue with New Sequel Directed by Jon Chu
A third installment of the 'Now You See Me' ("惊天魔盗团") will be shot, following the upcoming release of "Now You See Me 2" scheduled for release in June.
'Now You See Me', the original comedy caper produced by Lionsgate in 2013, grossed 350 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer has recently revealed that the third installment will employ the second installment's director Jon Chu.
Jon Chu is a Chinese-American filmmaker, best known for directing the movies Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.
"Now You See Me 2", starring Daniel Radcliffe, Morgan Freeman, Lizzy Caplan, also creates the director's maiden experience of shooting a movie in China since it was shot in Macau.
Jon Chu said Macau was selected because it is a mysterious, historic city full of charm, which coincides with the atmosphere needed for the film.
