CRI听力:Rock Singer Zheng Jun's Cartoon Book to Land on Big Screens
A 3D computer-animated comedy film that tells the story of a wide-eyed Tibetan Mastiff 'Bodi' is going to hit theatres during summer vacation.
Rock Dog or "Yao Gun Zang Ao" in Chinese, which is based on an original comic book by Chinese rock singer Zheng Jun, has recently released a trailer.
The story unfolds when a radio falls from the sky, and Bodi hears a song by rock legend Angus Scattergood. From then on, Bodi embarks on a path to pursue his dream in music.
Zheng said the comic book has some autobiographic elements and the soul of the animation is about dreams and how to keep dreams alive in different phases of life.
The Chinese-American film will have both English and Chinese versions. It features the voices of Luke Wilson, Eddie Izzard, J. K. Simmons, Lewis Black,and many other famous actors.
Rock Dog is scheduled for release in China by Huayi Brothers on July 8 this year.
