2016-07-28来源:CRI

Indie boy band Haomeimei, also known as Good Sister Band in English, has joined the promotion of an upcoming Chinese romance film 'Crying out in Love' by creating a song with the film's male lead actor Ou Oho.

The song, I Love Summer, sung by Ou Oho and Haomeimei together is now used to give publicity to the film, 'Crying out in Love' or Zai Shi Jie Zhong Xin Hu Huan Ai (在世界中心呼唤爱) in Chinese.

Ou Oho explained at a promotional press conference held Tuesday afternoon why they selected the song I Love Summer for the movie promotion.

"Now it's summer. The song 'I Love Summer' is to the rhythm of some beautiful romantic sequences in the film. Meanwhile Ke Da is a boy who grows up at the seaside. He and his girlfriend Xia Ye got to know each other at the seaside too. So the seaside is an important location where our romance has taken place and developed. The song particularly blends with the atmosphere that the first part of our film tries to generate, so we've decided to choose it in promoting the film."

Oho Ou is more widely known for his lead role in the 2015 box office success The Left Ear, which is Taiwan actor, pop singer Alec Su's directorial debut.

He co-stars with young actress Zhang Huiwen in the movie, directed by South Korean veteran Kwak Jae-young who is hailed as "the godfather of youth romances".

Adapted on the basis of Japanese author Kyoichi Katayama's best-selling romantic novel Socrates in Love, Crying out in Love is about a middle-aged protagonist who recalls his high-school affair with a classmate, who died of leukemia.

Crying out in Love is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26.
