CRI听力:LEGO sets up first factory in Asia
Danish toy maker Lego's first factory in Asia - the fifth globally - has started operation in the city of Jiaxing in eastern.
The factory will be Lego's central distribution center in Asia and will produce up to 80 percent of all LEGO products sold in Asia.
The factory started trial operations late last year and has a total area of about 165,000 square meters.
It is expected to be fully operational by the end of next year. There are 1,200 employees working in the factory.
LEGO, which entered the Chinese mainland market in the early 1980s, currently has 37 offices and more than 30 local retailers in China.
For more on this, we are joined on the line by Mike Bastin, Director of the China Business Center at Southampton Solent University.
