CRI听力:Derek Yee, Hark Tusi team up for martial arts epic
"Sword Master 3D," a new film by Hong Kong actor-turned-director Derek Yee and veteran director Hark Tsui is scheduled to hit the Chinese mainland theatres this Friday.
"Sword Master 3D" stars Lin Gengxin and Jiang Yiyan.
Jiang admits it took some time for her to accept the role.
"Getting the invitation from director Derek Yee, I was very hesitant since I'm not a fan of any martial arts novels at all. But Derek Yee and Hark Tsui successfully injected confidence in me with their knowledge of Gu Long's story. They were familiar with every trivial detail about my costume and face make-up. Each of my eyebrows was created and shaped by Hark Tsui in Photoshop."
"Sword Master 3D" is a remake of the 1977 film "Death Duel," which was the first book-to-movie adaptation of the Gu Long novel.
