Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, or AIIB, will host its Fourth Annual Meeting on July 12 and 13 in Luxembourg, its first time outside Asia. This year the theme is “Cooperation and Connectivity.”
As a new multilateral financial institution found in 2016, AIIB has approved up to 8.03 billion dollars in investments for 40 projects in 16 countries.
In a sit down interview, CRI’s reporter Xu Yawen had a talk with the vice-president of AIIB, Sir Danny Alexander, who says sustainable infrastructure development is very crucial. AIIB wants infrastructure that not only support economic development, but also it’s supporting the battle of climate change, he added.
