A new UN report shows China attracted a record 139-billion US dollars in foreign direct investment last year, ranking third in the world, following only the United States and Britain.
The increase of 2.3-percent FDI growth comes amid last year's global decline of 13 percent.
At this year's meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Chinese President Xi Jinping made a point of signaling that China remains open for investment, and will be doing what it can to ensure world investment growth continues.
For more on this, The Beijing Hour's Shane Bigham spoke earlier with John Ross, Senior Fellow with the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University.
