The World Gold Council has released a new report showing the world's demand for gold for investment last year soared by 70-percent compared with 2015 year.
During Spring Festival, gold investment and consumption rose in the Beijing market.
The surge in gold investment is believed to be mainly driven by the rise in international gold price.
