DAVID: I'm busy, darling. I've got to mark my students' homework.

JUANITA: I'm busy too; I'm looking after your baby!

DAVID: She's your baby, too! Look, I'll get fired if I don't correct these essays tonight; the students have been complaining again.

JUANITA: Alright. I'll answer the phone. But you can take the baby!

BABY: DAVID: Not on top of the homework! There, there, Sigismonda.

JUANITA: Yes? ¡Sí! ¿Cuándo? Aiee! Sí. ¡Claro que sí!

DAVID: What's going on?

JUANITA: It's my father! He's been kidnapped!

DAVID: What? When?

JUANITA: It happened this afternoon: they broke into his office.

DAVID: Gee, how terrible! What did they want?

JUANITA: I don't know: money, presumably. Of course, Mama will give them everything we've got, just to get him back!

DAVID: Oh! Er... is that a good idea?

JUANITA: What do you mean - is it a good idea?

DAVID: Well I just meant, like, it would be a real shame just to give all that money away.It was just a thought, that's all.

JUANITA: I'd better go straight to Mexico with Sigismonda, so as to be near Mama. I'll get the first flight tomorrow morning; I'll start packing now.

DAVID: And I suppose I'd better finish marking these damn essays. Whose is this, then? Oh, yes, Melissa. Oh yes, Melissa!
