Senate republicans are making major changes to their proposed tax reform plan. One idea is to roll back some tax cuts after six years, to keep a handle on the budget deficit. 

A Mexican national has been found not guilty of shooting and killing a woman on a San Francisco pier two years ago. 

Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was wanted for a sixth deportation, when Kate Steinle was shot and killed. Immigration officials say they'll deport him again. 

Pope Francis ordained sixteen priests during a visit to Bangladesh. He is also greeting some of the Rohingya Muslims who fled to that country from neighboring Myanmar. 

An inferno in downtown Cohoes, New York destroyed or damaged nearly two dozen buildings. A man is charged with arson and reckless endangerment. Authorities say that he started the fire trying to forge metal after watching a TV show about it.
