Sri Lanka's President is giving the country's military sweeping police powers following the Easter bombings that killed nearly 300 people, including at least four from the US. Officials in Sri Lanka also say that weeks ago, intelligence agencies have warned about the possibility of an attack by the radical Muslim group that is now blamed for the bloodshed.
The Trump administration is stepping up its "maximum pressure campaign" on Iran by telling a handful of nations, including US allies Japan, South Korea and Turkey that they will no longer be exempt from US sanctions if they continue to import Iranian oil.
Authorities in Indiana have released cell phone footage from 2017 of a suspect wanted in the killing of two teenage girls, Abigail Williams, and Liberty German. They also released a new sketch of the suspect and audio of his voice they say was recorded on one of the victim's cell phones.
President Trump and the first lady welcomed tens of thousands of children to the White House to participate in this year's annual Easter egg roll. It's a tradition that goes back more than 140 years.
