South Texas authorities say a police officer was shot and killed in the line of duty. A suspect was arrested, but details weren't immediately available.

And lawyers say a border patrol facility near El Paso, Texas is packed with children living in dirt, without enough food or water. The attorneys interviewed dozens of children and say some have been separated from their parents and siblings.
