Longtime journalist Cokie Roberts has died at age 75. Roberts worked at CBS News and PBS before joining ABC News in 1988 where she co-anchored "This Week" with Sam Donaldson from 1996 to 2002.
Lawyers for Purdue Pharma, the maker of oxycontin, appeared in a New York bankruptcy court, part of a plan to help reimburse state and local governments for the damage done by prescription painkillers and illegal opioids.
An Illinois judge has denied a motion to increase singer R. Kelly's bond to reflect additional charges the singer faces in other states. Judge Lawrence Flood said a previously set bond of 1 million dollars is still appropriate for the singer who is in federal custody on sexual abuse and other counts.
And a condominium near New York's Central Park has risen to its full height of 1,550 feet, which would make it the tallest purely residential building in the world once it opens. The highest-priced unit on the 112th floor was for 63 million dollars, but the views are priceless.
