A white police officer who fatally shot a black woman inside her Texas home is set to be interviewed by investigators. Fort Worth police say officers responded early Saturday after a neighbor called a non-emergency line to report the home's front door had been left open. The responding officer fired a shot through the homes window, killing Atatiana Jeffersonl.
And the 2019 Nobel prize in economics was awarded on Monday to Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer for pioneering new ways to alleviate global poverty. Banerjee and Duflo, who are married, are at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Kremer is at Harvard University. The three have often worked together.
