President Trump is set to sign the latest coronavirus aid bill on Friday. Congress voted almost unanimously to pass the nearly $500 billion in aid for employers and hospitals.
The US military declared a public health emergency at its only permanent base in Africa. The base is in country of Djibouti, where the number of coronavirus cases has been approaching 1,000.

China reported no new COVID-19 deaths for the ninth straight day. China says its hospitals are st till treating hundreds of coronavirus patients.
Minneapolis is letting Muslims use loudspeakers to broadcast the call to prayer during the holy month of Ramadan. This will make it possible for Muslims to take part in prayers while practicing social distancing.
