This is as concerns grow that the Trump administration is trying to undermine the agency during the coronavirus pandemic while states expand mail-in voting options for the November presidential election.
Police said at least 18 people were shot, including 4 killed in multiple shootings across Cincinnati. Reports suggest that there were four shootings within hours of each other. The city's assistant police chief said the shootings "seem to be separate independent incidents but horrific and tragic."
Firefighters continued to battle a massive fire threatening homes in Northern California on Sunday. Officials on Saturday said the fire had burned at least 31 square miles and triggered evacuation orders for sparsely populated areas.
