Pennsylvania's elections chief says workers are making good progress as they count through hundreds of thousands of ballots. President Trump's lead over Democrat Joe Biden there has slipped significantly since Election Day.
President Trump spoke from the White House, advancing unsupported allegations of voter fraud and falsely claiming that Biden is trying to seize power. Judges in Michigan and Georgia quickly dismissed lawsuits from the Trump campaign aimed at the vote-counting process.
Trump supporters protested outside vote tabulation centers in Phoenix, Detroit and Philadelphia. Election officials in several states say they're worried about the safety of their workers.
An Associated Press analysis looked at hundreds of U.S. counties with the highest current rate of new COVID-19 cases. It found President Trump won 93% of those counties.
