Negotiators in Congress are said to be close to a deal on a $900 billion coronavirus aid package. The reported plan would provide funds for struggling businesses, schools, jobless benefits and vaccine distribution.

Health authorities are closely watching for any unexpected side effects from the coronavirus vaccine. A health care worker in Alaska had a severe allergic reaction after being vaccinated earlier this week.

A winter storm is movingup the East Coast,dropping snow from Northern Virginia all the way to New England. The storm could drop as much as two feet of snow in some places by Thursday.

And a Chinese lunar capsule has returned to Earth with fresh samples from the moon. The samples are being brought ito a lab in Beijing for examination.
