The United States and South Korea have warned that time is running out for North Korea to disclose the full details of its nuclear program. The warning came after talks in Washington between the South Korean Foreign Minister Yu Myung-Hwan and the American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. Doctor Rice said although some progress had been made, North Korea needed to do more.

It is really time now for there to be movement on the declaration, so that we can move forward on the next phase which is to actually dismantle the North Korean program, because ultimately that is the only way we are going to be able to realize the vision of a completely denuclearized and peaceful Korean Peninsula.

The English footballer David Beckham has become the only the fifth man to play 100 times in the England shirt. Beckham, who is 32, was brought back into the England team after an absence of more than two years for a friendly match against France in Paris, which England lost by one goal to nil. Aaron Armstrong reports.

David Beckham's appearance against France cements his place amongst English football’s historical elite. He joins a shortlist of legendary players like Bobby Charlton, Peter Shilton and Bobby Moore. Beckham made his international debut in 1996, captained his country on 58 occasions and is the only English player to score in three World Cup tournaments: 1998, 2002 and 2006. (www.hXen.com)

One of the best-known Hollywood actors of the 1950s and 60s Richard Widmark has died at the age of 93. Widmark, slightly built and blond, burst upon the film scene in 1947 as a giggling psychopathic killer in Kiss of Death for which he was nominated for an Oscar. But he went on to personify the sympathetic hero in a series of notable films, often westerns, such as "Broken Lance", "Two Rode Together", "Warlock", and "The Alamo".
