A legal representative for President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen says he has knowledge that may be "of interest" to the special counsel investigating possible collusion with Russia. Lanny Davis said that Mr. Cohen had information on whether or not Mr. Trump knew about the alleged hacking by Russian agents of Democratic Party emails ahead of the 2016 election. On Tuesday, Mr. Cohen pleaded guilty to violating election campaign laws and admitted paying two women to stop them talking about alleged affairs with Mr. Trump ahead of the elections. Mr. Trump denies that he directed Mr. Cohen to do so.

Speaking on CBS this morning, Danny Davis said it was clear the President was hiding something. It is definitive, indisputable that Donald Trump's lawyers said in a letter to the special counsel that President Trump directed, —the same word that Michael Cohen used in court yesterday under oath, directed Michael Cohen to make illegal payments. And why did he direct? Because he didn't want his signature on the cheque. Why? 'Cause he was covering up right before the election or else why didn't he do it himself?

Dutch police say they have identified a suspect in a notorious child murder case that's baffled them for twenty years. Nicky Verstappen was found dead in Limburg province in 1998. Anna Holigan reports.

The investigators identified the 55-year-old suspect through traces of DNA found on Nicky Verstappen's clothing. The eleven-year-old disappeared from his tent during a summer camp. He was found dead the next day in a nearby forest. Detective say they know who the suspect is, but not where he is. He has been named as Jos Brech. He was living near the holiday campsite at the time of Nicky's death, but was reported missing by his family last April and has now believed to be abroad.

South Korea's Defense Ministry has said it plans to reduce guard posts and equipment along the demilitarized zone on the border with North Korea as part of efforts to reduce tension. General Brooks said he had some concerns about the effect that may have on his force's ability to defend the area, and said the proposal came with a reasonable degree of risk. But he added it was a good chance to build trust with North Korea, which he believes is key to progress on denuclearization.
