The victim Jack Merritt was a law and criminology graduate from Cambridge University, who had interest in rehabilitating prisoners. His killer, Usman Khan was convicted terrorist who'd been released early form jail on license, who was taking part in the course before he began his attack.

A court in Malta has rejected a legal challenge by Yorgen Fenech over his repeated detention for questioning in relation to the 2017 murder of a prominent journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. A BBC correspondent in Malta says there is speculation that Mr.Fenech may be summoned to court again shortly.

A tiny wooden relic believed by Christians to be part of Jesus manger is being returned to Bethlehem, after more than 1000 years in Rome. A procession of marching bands has been accompanied the relic case arrived. It was placed in the church of St. Catherine, next to the church of the Nativity, where tradition says Jesus was born.
