Michael Jackson Concerts Put Off

It has been billed as the biggest comeback in pop history.But thousands of Michael Jackson fans have been left disappointed even before a note has been sung.Organisers of the star's lucrative 50-date London tour at the O2 arena, which begins in July, have cancelled the first four opening shows blaming 'technical issues'.

The opening show on July 8 is now being moved to July 13. But fans with tickets for three other initial concerts will have to wait around nine months until spring 2010 if they want to make it to the rescheduled concerts. A show scheduled for July 10 will be moved to March 1 2010, a July 12 date will be moved to March 3 2010, and a concert for July 14 will now take place on March 6 2010.

Jiang Wen Will "Let the Bullets Fly"

Actor-turned-director Jiang Wen is heating up the international film market again by his upcoming new film 'Let the Bullets Fly'. A concept poster for the movie, the fourth offering from the director of 'The Sun Also Rises', has been released at the Cannes Film Festival. The poster features a bullet on a white flying feather, and includes the inscription, 'a comic Western legend coming out in fall 2010.' According to earlier reports, the movie centers around a western Chinese bandit gang during the period of regional division in the early 20th century. A production manager told sohu.com that the movie contains thriller elements, as well as suspense and black humor.

Filmmaker Peter Chan has said he wants to make the action thriller "Bodyguards and Assassins" an all-star film. By that, he doesn't just mean movie stars. Chinese basketball star Mengke Bateer, once an NBA player, has become the latest addition to the film's cast, which already includes Donnie Yen, Leon Lai, Nicholas Tse, Eric Tsang and Hu Jun. 2.1-meter Bateer will play a street vendor and is set to challenge many action scenes. Although this is not his film debut - Bateer starred in a family drama in 2006 named "Blue Hanggai" - the star said memorizing lines is "so much harder" than playing basketball.

"Bodyguards and Assassins" tells a story of a group of bodyguards who protect revolutionary forerunner Sun Yat-Sen from assassins in 1905 Hong Kong.The film is slated to hit theaters over the Christmas season.
