欧洲航天局着陆器"菲莱"成功登陆彗星
A European spacecraft has made an historic landing on a Comet.
The European Space Agency is still trying to determine the status of the Rosetta probe.
Mission manager Paolo Ferri.
"We were having, when I left the control room we were still having interruption in the link, which on one side we don't know what is the reason, but on the other side the link keeps coming back which means we are still in contact with the lander."
The landing involved the probe first firing a grappling hook into the comet.
Scientists say the lander sank about 4-centimeters into the surface when it landed, suggesting a relatively soft surface on the comet.
The landing caps a journey that began a decade ago.
The mission itself is designed to try to shed some light on some of the mysteries surrounding the formation of our Solar System.
