最好的圣诞礼物！60年的好朋友竟然是亲兄弟

Two men who have been best pals for 60 years have found out they are brothers.

两名男子做了60年好朋友，最近发现两人竟然是亲兄弟。

Alan Robinson and Walter MacFarlane have known each other since they attended the same primary school in Hawaii.

艾伦·罗宾逊（Alan Robinson）和沃尔特?麦克法兰（Walter MacFarlane）自从在夏威夷上小学时就认识彼此。

Mr MacFarlane, 74, never met his father, while Mr Robinson, 72, was adopted and never knew either of his birth parents. Now, they are “overwhelmed” to learn they have the same birth mother.

麦克法兰今年74岁，一生中从未见过他的父亲。罗宾逊72岁，他是被收养的，也从来没见过他的亲生父母。最近，当得知他们的亲生母亲是同一个人时，两人都激动不已。

The pair separately took DNA tests to find out about their ancestry. Mr MacFarlane used a DNA-matching website and found a top match – someone with identical X chromosomes, with the username Robi737.

两个都做过DNA测试想要追源寻祖。麦克法兰在一个DNA匹配的网站上找到了用户名为Robi737的最佳人选，两人拥有相似的X染色体。

Mr Robinson, a former pilot for Aloha Airlines, had used the same website. The half-brothers have now reveal the news to theri friends and family.

罗宾逊以前是阿罗哈航空公司的飞行员，也注册了同一个网站。这对同母异父的两兄弟将这个消息告诉了身边的亲朋好友。

Mr Robinson said: “This is the best Christmas present I could ever imagine having.”

“I had a younger brother that I lost when he was 19, so I never had nieces or nephews.

我以前有个弟弟，但是19岁他就去世了。所以我从来没有侄子和侄女。

“I thought I’ll never know my birth mother, I’ll never have any nieces or nephews.”

我以为我永远都找不到我的亲生母亲，也永远不会有侄子侄女了。

Mr Macfarlane was born in 1943 in Honolulu.

麦克法兰1943年出生于火奴鲁鲁。

His mother, Genevieve, was planning to give him up for adoption, but her parents found out and decided informally adopt their grandson.

他的母亲吉纳维芙准备将他送人，他的外祖父母发现了，便决定收养他。

Fifteen months later, Mr Robinson was born in the same town and was immediately given up for adoption, so he never knew his birth parents.

15个月后，罗宾逊在同一城镇出生，刚出生他母亲便把他送人了。所以他从来不知道亲生父母的身份。

The men met when just at primary school and became great friends.

两人在小学相遇，随后成了最好的朋友。

They later sent their children to the same schools they attended and holidayed together as families.

他们之后也将自己的孩子送到当年他们所上的那所学校，一家人一起欢庆节日。
