《2018中国留学白皮书》发布：越来越多中国学生选择出国读研

The number of Chinese studying master’s degrees overseas continues to increase, according to a report.

报告显示，在海外攻读硕士学位的中国留学生人数持续增加。

Students who apply for master’s degree or above overseas made up 68 percent of all students planning to study abroad, up 8 percentage points from 2017 and 11 percentage points from 2016, according to the Report on Chinese Students’ Overseas study released last week by New Oriental Vision Overseas and Kantar Millward Brown.

据新东方和凯度华通明略上周发布的中国留学生报告显示，申请海外硕博学位的学生人数占计划留学生总数的68％，较去年提高8个百分点，较前年则提高11个百分点。

The rise in the number of applicants for the master’s degree or above overseas indicates an increasing number of students willing to obtain a higher academic degree to elevate their competitiveness, the report read.

海外硕博申请者人数增加预示着，想获得更高学位提高竞争力的人数越来越多。

Students who apply for master’s degree or above overseas accounted for 47 percent of all Chinese students already studying abroad, the report showed.

申请海外硕博学位的学生占中国留学生(不包括计划/预备留学生)总数的47％。

The interviewed students chose to study abroad for the purposes of expanding their horizons (64 percent), enriching life experience (64 percent), learning advanced knowledge (49 percent), and obtaining better jobs (44 percent).

64％的受调查学生选择出国是为开拓眼界；64％的受调查学生为丰富阅历；49％是为进一步深造，还有44％的人为了获得更优的工作。

The report was based on a survey of around 5,000 students who plan to go to school abroad or were previously overseas students, and their parents and some employers, in more than 40 cities across China in February and March.

报告基于一项约5000名留学生(计划留学生和海归、其父母及老板)参与的调查得出结论。调查期在2月和3月，受调查者来自全国逾40座城市。
