Hello, I'm Melissa Long at the cnn center in Atlanta with a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

Saudi Arabian security forces have arrested 172 people in a month-long anti-terror campaign. The raids netted an array of weapons and ammunition along with millions of dollars in cash. A Saudi intelligence official says it comes after years of tracking militants around the country who were planning attacks on oil and military sites.

The mayor of Istanbul, Turkey blames the collapse of a residential building on careless construction work being done next door. The entire complex was reduced to rubble yesterday. One person was rescued after being trapped in the debris. No one was killed. Istanbul's mayor says the collapse was the result of serious negligence by contractor hired to tear down an old building next door. He says workers have damaged the foundations of the apartment complex.

President Bush promising a veto, still the Senate approved the war-funding bill that includes a non-binding goal to get all US troops out of Iraq by March of 2008. The White House says the measure is dead on arrival. The bill was passed 51-46 suggesting Democrats are far short of the 2/3 majority needed to override a presidential veto.

About 350 hogs that may have consumed tainted pet food are believed to have entered the human food supply. USDA officials say risks to human health are minimum. The hogs may have eaten pet food contaminated with melamine and related compounds. Melamine is a toxic agent that led to the nationwide pet food recall.

And many people would be glued to the television this weekend watching the NFL draft. It's two days of talking pure football. Quarterback Brady Quinn could go number one or could be in the green room for a long time. He had a consistent career at Notre Dame. Most draft analysts think that LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell will be at the topic. 6"6', 260 pounds, he is considered a physical specimen with a bionic arm. And the best athlete in the draft is Georgia Tech receiver Calvin Johnson, he has been called spiderman because he can outleap almost anyone.
