Good afternoon, from the cnn center in Atlanta, I am Melissa Long with a look at what's happening NOW IN THE NEWS.

There're new developments in the intense search for three missing US soldiers in Iraq. A military official tells cnn that a 200,000-dollar reward is being offered for information leading to the soldiers or their captors. New details are also emerging about the scene of the ambush, where the soldiers went missing. The official says it indicates a well-planned attack and that there's evidence the soldiers fought back. The spokesman for US forces in Iraq says the focus is on finding the missing soldiers.

Media reports say Britain's Prince Harry will not be deployed to Iraq. Early in the month, perhaps you remember the head of the British Army said Harry, who was third in line to the throne, would serve on the frontlines despite the threats posed by insurgents and terrorists. Prince Harry is a Second Lieutenant and a tank commander. He's been trained to lead a 12-man team in armored reconnaissance vehicles.

At least 13 people have been killed in Gaza today, as the Palestinian unity government appears unable to stop the bloodshed. Hamas gunmen attacked the home of a top security chief of Fatah, killing at least four of his body guards. And for the third day, Hamas and Fatah officials are calling for a ceasefire. Earlier, motor rounds exploded near a compound of Palestinian Authority President and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas. No injuries were reported in that attack.

And the US firefighters are making progress containing a massive wildfire near the Georgia-Florida border, even after that fire jumped to containment line. It has burned nearly 190 square miles. At least 300 more homes in the area have been evacuated.

And Yolanda Denise King, the eldest child of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., died late last night. Friends and family members are remembering her as a high-profile advocate for peace and nonviolence. Her death comes 15 months after the death of her mother, Coretta Scott King. Yolanda King is survived by her sister, Bernice and brothers Martin Luther King Jr., excuse me, Martin Luther King III and Dexter King.
