Police at Delaware State University say they are questioning one of two students after a shooting there early this morning. Both of those students called persons of interest in this investigation. Police say one of the victims is in potentially life-threatening condition right now in the meantime. The shootings happened just before 1 a. m. at the school's main campus in Dover. The university is still in lockdown, classes cancelled today. Students have been told to stay in their dorms.

An MIT student under arrest accused of strapping a fake bomb to her chest and entering Logan International Airport. Police say 19-year-old Star Simpson was wearing a circuit board that had battery, wires and what turned out to be Play-Doh attached to it. She was wearing it over a black hooded sweatshirt. Simpson told police it was an art project and that she wanted to show it off. Police say she faces charges of disorderly conduct and possessing a hoax device.

A Louisiana state judge is deciding whether a new judge should consider a bond request for one of the so-called "Jena 6". Yesterday an appeals court ruled that Mychal Bell must be given that bond hearing within 72 hours. Bell's conviction for second-degree battery was overturned last week. But he remains in jail. Bell and 5 other African-American students were charged in a high school fight that left a white student badly hurt.

Tropical storm warning is in effect now for parts of the Gulf Coast including New Orleans. Forecasters are watching a sub-tropical depression that is gaining strength in the Gulf of Mexico. Louisiana's governor has issued a state of emergency. The National Guard is on alert, school buses, ambulances and evacuation shelters also on standby. And several drilling rigs in the Gulf of Mexico have been evacuated.
