A winter storm has left at least five people dead in car crashes in Minnesota,Texas and Kansas.The storm has closed parts of several interstates and knocked out power in some areas.Weather is also causing flight delays and cancellations at several airports.

Investigators are trying to figure out if an arsonist was behind this church fire in Jacksonville Florida.It took more than 70 firefighters an hour to get the fire under control.The church's sanctuary was destroyed but no injuries were reported.

On Long Island of a conviction in a racially charged trial,54-year-old John White has been convicted of second-degree manslaughter.White is an African-American who killed a white teenager.The dispute began with a threat posted on Myspace which was falsely attributed to White's son.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth is the first monarch to launch her very own Royal Channel on Youtube.Anyone can view rare archives and recent footage of the Queen and other royals on the channel.She'll also use the popular video sharing website to send her 50th annual televised Christmas message.

Santa could tell Rudolph to take the night off tomorrow. That's because the planet Mars is lightening up the night sky, and that will be its closest approach to the Earth until the year 2016.The red planet appears brighter and bigger than usual because it's directly opposite the sun and only 55 million miles from Earth.
