But first we got somethingabout Syria that the United Nation representatives called the first hopefulnews in a very long time. The finding in Syria has been going on since early2011. Reports say more than 70,000 have been killed. It started with protestagainst Syrian government. That country's military cracked down on theprotestors. Eventually, rebels armed themselves since started fighting againstthe government forces. Some people who talked about the international communitygetting involved by sending troops. This week we heard about a possiblediplomatic solution. On the left here is U.S. secretary of state John Carry. Onthe right is Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov. They said theircountries want to set up a conference as soon as possible to work on forming anew government for Syria. If that happens, this meeting would be the first timethat the sides fighting in Syria would come together to negotiate.
