A high speed train snapped in two, some ofthe cars on fire. The train which was coming from Madrid, derailed on the curvejust short a station. 218 passengers on board. We don't know how many crewnumbers. A search now under way for survivors in the wreckage. The death tollso far at least, 45, the number could claim. Dozens of people hurt some badly.Local authorities asking for blood donations. Unclear how fast the train wastraveling, but it was capable of speeds up to 150 miles for hour. That's whatcaused the crash too early to tell, but investigators are saying it doesn'tappear this time that terrorism played a part.
Also, breaking news back at as well. Thedisgrace former congressman Anthony Weiner speaking to reporters tonight underheavy pressure to give it up his run for mayor of New York. That drumbeat beganyesterday when Weiner admitted to sex thing for more than a year after heresigned from Congress over just that inappropriate sexing. Well, you know he certainly avoidedreporters going in, but as soon as he finished or he was finishing he veryfirst event of the day which didn't happen till this evening by the way. His aidesaid, look, he will come out and talk to you all. He came out. It was veryorganized. He wasn't hiding and he stood there and answered about half a dozenquestions. One of the key questions, of course, has been not just about hispersonal problems, but more specifically how he has dealt with that couldimpact what he really wants to be, which is mayor of New York.
