[00:22.99]That's a fairly neutral statement.However,if I prolong just one word,the sentence takes on a different meaning.

[01:22.44]I heard the urgency because of the tone of voice and because of the tempo.A leisurely or slow tempo on the other hand conveys to listeners that the message is perhaps not of great urgency .But listen to this :

[02:30.57]If people often interrupt, your tempo may be too slow or halting.

[02:35.82]The sixth characteristic of speech is volume.That's the relative loundness or softness of speech .
