[02:11.03]The point is that there is a difference between an interest and a skill.
[02:17.56]If you like art and enjoy looking at pictures,that is an interest.
[02:25.32]But if you can draw a horse that looks like a horse and not a big dog,
[02:32.19]that is a skill.
[02:35.95]The best job is one which uses your skill
[02:40.81]in doing something together with your interest in the subject.
[02:46.27]As well as this,it is an advantage if you believe that a particular job
[02:53.04]is worth doing in the world.
[02:57.11]To examine your skills and abilities still further,
[03:02.57]ask yourself this question:in the following three areas--skills with people,
[03:10.43]skills with information or skills with things which are your best skills?
[03:17.49]Note that it is not enough to say to yourself,
[03:22.45]"I enjoy working with people",for that is part of everyone's human nature.
[03:28.80]It is,however,important to examine the relationship with other people
[03:35.28]that brings you the greatest satisfaction.
[03:39.35]For example,you might be good at persuading,
[03:44.60]directing,interviewing,listening,teaching or informing.
[03:51.47]After examining your skills,the next step is research.
[03:58.24]To find out as much as possible about different kinds of work,
[04:04.30]go to the library and read books,magazines and newspapers.
[04:10.96]Ask your friends about the work they do.

[04:20.18]it is better to talk to a bank clerk of twenty-four,
