Now the news continues.
The word "selfie" has been named "word of the year" by Oxford Dictionaries editors.
"Selfie" means a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smart phone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.
With the increasing number of mobile phone users, it's been a remarkable year of taking pictures of yourself with a phone.
Celebrities took them, politicians took them, as well as ordinary people. Do you have favorite selfie shot of the past year? Would you consider sharing your best selfie shot with others?

Now from the UK to North America: As people around the world partied their way into the New Year, two mothers gave birth to two of the last babies of 2013 and two of the first babies of 2014. While born just minutes apart, their twin babies entered the world in two different years.
On December 31, 2013, at 11:58 p.m., Yaleni Santos Tohalino gave birth to baby girl Lorraine Yaleni Begazo, who weighed at 6 pounds, at Med Star Washington Hospital Center, in Washington, D.C.
Soon after, her twin brother Brandon Ferdinando Begazo was born on January 1, 2014, at 12:01 a.m., weighing at 5 pounds.
In Toronto Canada, two fraternal twin sisters were also born in 2013 and in 2014.
At Trillium Health Partners-Credit Valley Hospital, older sister Gabriela Salgueiro was born on December 31, 2013, at 11:52 p.m., weighing 6 pounds.
On January 1, 2014, at midnight plus 38 seconds, younger twin Sophia Salgueiro was born, weighing 5 pounds.
The twins' mother, Lindsay Salgueiro, says the twins kind of got that golden ticket, and they've got different birthdays.
She says it's not a bad way to end the year and not a bad a way to start the year off.
Both the mothers and babies are healthy.
In sports news: Chinese athletes have won 124 titles from world championships and World Cup finals last year.
About one-third the titles came from 11 Olympic sports, including swimming and diving, badminton, gymnastics, and shooting.
China also renewed 13 world records last year.
Also in sports: China will host a record 10 WTA events in the coming season.
The global leader in women's professional tennis has announced the 2015 calendar as well as changes to the 2014 calendar.
A new premier event in Wuhan, the home of China's 2011 French Open winner Li Na, will make its debut during Week 39, in addition to two inaugural international events in Tianjin and Hong Kong.
These three events will join the already-existing China Open, Guangzhou Tennis Open and Shenzhen Open, making it a record six WTA premier and international tournaments in China.
The WTA, or Women's Tennis Association, will also host four 125K Series events in China this year, making it a total of 10 WTA events in China. In comparison, there were only two WTA events in China during the 2012 season.
