Part 2  Shopping Craze

Dialogue Script

Jack: Boy, I'm full. Why don't we get a little exercise---go for a walk in the park or something?
Annie: Well, a walk sounds good, but there are no stores in the park.
Jack: Uh-oh...
Annie: And I really feel like going shopping. I hear they're having some great sales at Century City.
Jack: Annie, don't you ever think about anything but clothes? I mean, to me, clothes are just something to put on.
Annie: Yes, and it shows. I think you'd better get a few new things, too——things with a little style.
Jack: Oh, no. I learned a long time ago that I shouldn't try to be trendy. It doesn't suit me.
Annie: But it's fun to be trendy---it gives you a reason to buy more clothes. Anyway I need a dress for the party on Saturday.
Jack: Another dress?
Annie: Hey, this is cute. What do you think?
Jack: Well, it looks great on the mannequin...but it's awfully fomp3-fitting, isn't it?
Annie: Are you implying that I need to lose weight to wear this dress?
Jack: I am implying that Audrey Hepurn would need to lose weight to wear this dress.
Annie: Oh, well...I just know that I'm gonna find a terrific bargain today. Hey, this is beautiful. I'm gonna try it on.
Jack: But it's not on sale.
Annie: Well, you get what you pay for, right?
Jack: Annie, you'll be up to your ears in debt if you keep spending so much money.
Annie: No, I won't. I'll just charge it.

I really feel like going shopping. feel like doing sth.

3. 当Annie看上了一件衣服,并问朋友觉得怎么样时,朋友说 ...it looks great on the mannequin...but it's awfully fomp3-fitting.

It's not on sale.

You get what you pay for. 无奈的朋友只好说you'll be up to your ears in debt if you keep spending so much money. up to one's ears in debt

I'll just charge it.
