[00:34.93]Godiva was the beautiful wife of the Lord of Coventry
[00:44.17]She lived in the eleventh century.
[00:49.82]According to an old legend,
[00:57.39]the Lord taxed the people of Coventry heavily and unjustly
[01:06.64]If they did not pay those cruel taxes,
[01:13.80]they were thrown into prison.
[01:18.94]Lady Godiva asked her husband to have mercy on the people,
