LOS ANGELES, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Actress and comedienne Julia Louis-Dreyfus Tuesday became the first cast member of the popular sitcom "Seinfeld" who was honored by addition of a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Emmy-winning actress received the 2407th star at a ceremony held earlier in the day. Commenting on the honor, Louis-Dreyfus said that he enjoyed having a career in comedy as this enabled her to "make jokes about how in high school I was voted 'Girl Most Likely to Wind Up on Hollywood and Vine.'"

She has to act quickly to make a correction as her name was misspelled as "Luis" on the sidewalk star. The fifth season finale of Louis-Dreyfus' CBS comedy "The New Adventures of Old Christine" will be shown eight days later.
