娱乐英语新闻:"Piranha 3D" sequel underway

BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Blood and breast-filled "Piranha 3D" is getting its sequel in the works, Dimension Films announced Monday.

"We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving 'Piranha 3D,' but cheering for it," producer Mark Canton said in a statement. "And it's fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can't wait to get to work on the sequel."

"Piranha 3D" debuts in sixth place at the box office with 10.1 million U.S. dollars. The movie, which cost around 24 million dollars to make, is one of those rare horror movies to enjoy rave reviews.

The flick scored 81 percent on review-aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The Hollywood Reporter called it “a pitch-perfect, guilty pleasure.”
