娱乐英语新闻:Eric Stonestreet wins best supporting actor at 2010 Emmys
BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhuanet) -- Eric Stonestreet, who plays the loveable Cameron Tucker on ABC's "Modern Family," won the Emmy for best supporting actor in a Comedy Series on Sunday, media reported Monday.
It is the first big winner of the Sunday night at the 62nd annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
"All I wanted to be was a clown in the circus when I was a kid growing up," said the first-time winner onstage.
Stonestreet thanked his parents for their support and promised to send his trophy home with them.
He was followed by co-creator Steve Levitan for best comedy writing.
Jane Lynch took home her first statuette for best supporting actress for her role as cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on Fox's "Glee".
Edie Falco of "Nurse Jackie" and Jim Parsons of "The Big Bang Theory" also took trophies for their comedy series lead roles.
