娱乐英语新闻:Lindsay Lohan's drug test failure may disturb movie career
BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan may face more trouble in her career after failing a court-ordered drug test, according to U.S. entertainment website TMZ.com on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Lohan originally will act the heroine in film "Inferno," a biopic about porn star Linda Lovelace, and the movie is about to start shooting in Louisiana. But the bad news may restrict Lohan’s travel to the set.
However, shooting the picture in Los Angeles instead of Louisiana "would radically change the budget" and force producers to try and secure additional financing, a source close to the film told media.
The producers might be less inclined to make certain sacrifices for the "Mean Girl" star -- the film's top people are "beyond irritated by the recent developments" and "there is a concern of her commitment to the work," the source added.
Lohan spent three weeks at a drug-rehabilitation program at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center last month. She went into the rehab program after serving 13 days in jail for violating her probation in a pair of DUI cases.
After her release from the rehabilitation program, the "Mean Girls" star was ordered by Fox to remain in Los Angeles, participate in psychotherapy counseling and chemical dependency sessions, along with 12-step meetings.
She was also ordered to submit to random drug and alcohol testing no less than twice a week, in addition to attending behavioral therapy classes twice a week.
Lohan was sentenced to a day in prison and was placed on three years probation after she pleaded no contest to two counts each of drunken driving and being under the influence of cocaine, and one count of reckless driving in August 2007.
The probation later was extended for a year after she missed some alcohol-education classes while making a movie in Texas.
