娱乐英语新闻:American talk show queen Oprah arrives in Australia for "Ultimate Adventure"

BRISBANE, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- American talk show queen Oprah Winfrey arrived in Australia on Wednesday by her private jet, marking the start of her Ultimate Australian Adventure.

The US chat show legend arrived at Cairns airport in Queensland at 10.30 a.m (local time) to begin her tour expected to provide a huge boost for Australian tourism.

After refueling and satisfying customs officials, her jet will head to Hamilton Island in the Whitsundays in north Queensland where Winfrey will meet up with 300 studio audience members she's brought to Australia.

Winfrey announced she was flying her studio audience to Australia as a way of wrapping up her 25th and final season in grand style.

Two episodes of the Oprah Winfrey show will be filmed at the Sydney Opera House next week.

A third episode will feature her guests' travel experiences as they head to every state and territory in Australia.
